Augusto e Ferdinando Michelin founded 'Ciclo Piave' in Santa Lucia di Piave in 1919, the company started life building bicycles, then shortly in 1921 also motorcycles.

1919
1936
The two brothers decided to separate the business, with Ferdinando founding a new factory in Conegliano that also made bicycles and motorcyclesunder the brand name of 'Stella Veneta'.
1948
Ferdinando also created another company called Ferdinando Michelin Conegliano (F.M.C) which specialised in making components for bicycles such as locks, carriers and the first quirck release for cycle wheels. With the growth of the business Ferdinando passes control of Stella Veneta to his two sons Italo e Tideo.
1963
On the passing of Ferdinando, Tideo takes over the running of Stella Veneta and Italo the running of F.M.C.
1970
The headquarters and factory of F.M.C is moved from Conegliano to a new site in San Vendemiano and starts trading with a new name F.A.C di Michelin.
1975
The range of components made in expanded to quick realeases, folding bike brackets, and the first aluminium hubs. Followed by the first cranksets, pedals, headsets and seatpins for racing cycles.
1986
The brand name MICHE is created.
1995
Production of race wheels in aluminium, with the first model launched beign the Blowind.
2005
Miche makes its first carbon race wheels, the Supertype.
2018
The Miche brand name and logo is update.
2022
Fac Michelin joins the group led by Wilier Triestina Spa. The aim is to create a globally leading Italian group in the bike industry.
Our qualities
Manufacturing quality products is our corporate mission daily certified by tests in our laboratories in accordance with the stringent standards that the quality system of Miche prescribes. Our products are developed using sophisticated CAD programs; they take the form of 3D printers and, once made, they must pass many tests in the toughest conditions of use. Released from our lines, they are sold worldwide and bring our brand characterized by a story of quality and Italian talent.
