June 2010 – Last weekend Team MICHE attended Route du Sud, very important French stage race that took place in the south-west region of France, close to the Pyrenees.
Also in this race Team MICHE showed the value of its athletes: first place in the special teams rank, first place for Carvajal in the climbers rank. Third, fourth and fifth place in the general classification for Baliani, Muto and Niemec.
The third stage, the individual climbing TT to the Peyresourde, was the key stage for the team result. In this stage the three climbers of Team MICHE placed third, fourth and fifth just behind Moncoutie and Geniez for only few seconds, that could not be regained in the fourth-last stage.
Great performance for Team MICHE that showed also in this important appointment to be one of the most competitive teams in the French race. Team MICHE racers were always present in the escapes and in the first places of stages arrivals.
The great training level of Team MICHE racers let hope in very good performances during the national championships that will take place the 26th June for Baliani, Cesaro, Muto and Pinizzotto, and the 27th for Niemec and Szczawinski in Poland and for Zagorodniy in Ukraine.
During the Italian road Pro Championships in Conegliano, MICHE invites all cycling fans on the “home roads” to follow live the race that will award the Tricolore Jersey 2010.
