MICHE Zero Point

June 2010 – Miche presents an innovative balancing system for medium-high profile carbon wheels: Zero Point is a silicon range of wheel weights patented by Fac Michelin Spa.

Thanks to Zero Point it is possible to reduce the typical wheels unbalance effect caused by the valve weight: this system is required by all the racers that are looking for high level performances.

Zero Point effect is better appreciated when the speed is going over 40/45kmh, and mainly in the long descents and during braking at high-speed descents.

In addition the comfort is improved: reducing the unbalanced wheel effect, this improvement should be also appreciated by general cyclists.

Factory test by Fac Michelin Spa have showed that all carbon wheels need to be balanced, to varying degrees.

Zero Point is available in 6 and in 9 grams for meeting the larger range of balancing needs.

The balancing system is adhesive, and the setting up process is quite easy: Zero Point is applied outside of the rim in the opposite side of the valve, in order to balance the valve weight.

Aesthetically Zero Point has been studied for being applied to the carbon wheels of all brands of the market, and it is available in black or in transparent finishing.

Miche Team is actually using in the races the new balancing system, and recently also some Pro Tour Teams are testing with their racers the efficacy of Zero Point: professional racers appreciate a lot the performance and comfort improvement obtained by using the equalizer.

Zero Point will be soon available in MICHE products sales network.
